Explanation of how artifact demonstrates standard: This document was authored by the three people listed on the front of the report, including myself. This artifact demonstrates proficiency within the standard because it involved management of the district’s organization, operation, and resources through monitoring and evaluating district systems. Part of the Title I plan also requires district leadership to efficiently use human, fiscal, and technological resources and to ensure that time focuses on supporting high-quality school instruction and student learning. This is the underlying goal of developing the Title I Plan. It requires development of fiscal plans and annual budgets aligned with the district’s priorities and goals. Significance to professional development: This document was significant to my professional development because is represents how I applied the skills of managing district organization, operations, and resources to develop a plan that would guide the budget for Title I, a significant portion of the SPS budget. |

Budget developed for district IT project Explanation of how artifact demonstrates standard: As part of a group project, this budget was developed to adopt a real-life benchmarking program for a school district. This artifact shows the ability to manage human, fiscal, and technological resources to develop a focus on high quality instruction and learning. Significance to professional development: This document represents my work in developing a budget within the restraints of federal and state guidelines, and using district resources to implement a real-world application. Production of this document and working with a group to complete the project required collaboration and the ability to demonstrate distributed leadership with others. |

Time table of IT project implementation Explanation of how artifact demonstrates standard: As a requirement of the Systems Management Course, our group planned the implementation of a benchmarking program for a large district. This timeline demonstrates the ability to manage and maximize priorities and district schedules. Significance to professional development: The ability to look at the "big-picture" of school management is a skill necessary to be a district-level leader. This activity required our group to consider the resources of a district and the management of personnel, operations, technology, and facilities. |
